FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. How much will it cost?

A. This of course depends upon how complex the project is and how long it will take to complete. After I learn what your requirements are, I will be able to give a more accurate idea, so please contact me.

Q. How long will it take?

A. Again this depends on the complexity of the picture or window. I work a full time "regular" job, so I would be painting in the evenings after work, and on the weekends - whatever is convenient for you. A stained glass project would be built at my studio and installed when completed.

Q. Do I have to do any preparation work for a mural?

A. Generally no.  Most walls will be suitable for accepting a mural, in fact murals are an excellent way of covering up imperfections in wall surfaces. As long as the surface to be painted is sound and dry with no flaking paint or peeling paper it will be sufficient. For a more "finished" look, I can paint the entire room for you if you wish - walls and trim in the mural's base color(s) - but it will reflect in the price. If you are handy and want to do the base work yourself, I can help you choose the colors and where they will go according to the design you have accepted.

Q. Are the mural paints harmful to children?

A. No, health & safety is a key issue, especially when working in children's rooms, and the paints used are carefully selected so as not to cause any harm. I use a water-based wall paint for the base colors, and artists acrylic paints for the brighter, mural colors.

Q. Can I change the design or add elements after the project has begun?

A. If there are any changes after a project is started, there may be a new contract drawn up with additional charges.
